NUR 3230 - Community And Global Health

A study of community health and professional nursing practice to promote the health of populations. Emphasis is placed on partnership development and empowerment of populations for the improvement of a community’s health. Knowledge, skills, and attitudes to appreciate individuals and groups from diverse cultural groups, and how beliefs, customs, lifestyles, environments, and behaviors impact health care practices will be emphasized.
Prerequisite: NUR 3110 , NUR 3120 , and NUR 3150
Corequisite: NUR 4110 and NUR 3155
