HIS 3390 - Russia & Eastern Europe

This course is a survey of the modern history of Eastern Europe from the seventeenth century until today. The cause will emphasize the history and politics, along with the culture and diplomacy, of Russia from the time of Peter the Great until the present. Additionally, the course will provide an introduction to the modern histories, political institutions, and cultures of the Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, and Lithuanian peoples.
