HIS 3300 - Atlantic World

This course examines a combined history of Western Europe, West Africa, and the Americas from the 1400s to around 1800. The Atlantic World follow the peoples of these areas from their early encounters with one another to the age of revolutions. The course will examine the evolution of the relationships of various groups while covering topics such as commercial expansion, conquest, colonization, and the slave trade.
