ENG 2112 - Introduction To Literary Studies

This course is an introduction to the literary studies discipline, including definition of and differentiation between genre conventions in fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and drama, introduction to literary terms, practice in literary exposition and analysis, and familiarity with responding to literary texts, ideologies, and cultural influence. Students will improve their abilities to read and analyze artistic literature as well as its structures and forms with the purpose of seeing themselves and their world more clearly.
Prerequisite: ENG 1010 or ENG 1030 .
Corequisite: ENG 1020 or ENG 1040
