ENG 3500 - Introduction To Linguistics

This course surveys the fundamental concepts of linguistics, through an emphasis on what is known about language and understanding the basis for that knowledge. The course will cover concepts such as phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, language acquisition, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistic, language change, writing systems, and pedagogical implementation/implications thereof.
