EDU 2000 - Teacher Prep Program Fundamentals

The seminar is designed to prepare students for the requirements and transition points for becoming a teacher in Georgia. Students will review TPP rules, ethics, and dispositions; they will complete the Ethics exam, take the GACE Admissions exam (unless exempt), set up a myPSC account, preview required assessments for certification, complete a writing sample assessment, and begin/complete the application process for admission into the TPP. Shorter tutoring and counseling services are included. Passing the class is a pre-requisite to being admitted to the teacher preparation program. School related service project required. Grading is pass/fail.
Prerequisite: an acceptable background check; liability insurance.
