CST 2225 - Old Testament Interpretation 3 hours A study that will enable the student to move from what the Old Testament text means (exegesis) to application (significance) for today. This course will guide the student through the interpretive process as it relates to the different literary genres in the Old Testament, such as the Law, narratives, wisdom literature, poetry, prophetic, and apocalyptic literature. Also studied will be the historical, geographical, literary, socio-economic and religious environment of the time in which the Old Testament was written.
Prerequisite: CST 1011 or permission from the instructor. Level UG
